SSC at the Summit: Making Waves at PASUC Midyear and General Assembly in Pasay, Philippines

With eyes set on the future and a heart for transformative education, Siquijor State College (SSC) made its presence felt at one of the most significant gatherings in Philippine higher educationโ€”the 2025 Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges (PASUC) Midyear Convention and General Assembly, held from July 9 to 11, 2025, at the SMX Convention Center Manila, Pasay City.

Themed โ€œForging the Future: Empowering SUCs through Innovation, Sustainability, and Excellence,โ€ the event brought together presidents, administrators, and strategic leaders from across the country to foster dialogue, drive innovation, and strengthen collaboration within the State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) sector. The convention aimed to chart a future-ready direction for Philippine higher education, emphasizing shared governance, sustainable transformation, and inclusive development.

Representing Siquijor State College were Dr. Steven J. Sumaylo, SUC President II; Dr. Nila T. Caroro, Chief Administrative Officer; Mr. Jay Louie L. Jarbonido, PMS Director and Chief of Staff; and Atty. Michael Vencynth H. Braga, Board Secretary V. Their participation reflected SSCโ€™s deep commitment to meaningful engagement and leadership in the national academic community.

Driven by a shared passion for progress and guided by the future-focused leadership of Dr. Sumaylo, the SSC delegation stood united in their vision to shape a brighter future through transformative learning, responsive governance, and bold innovation.

As the academic landscape continues to evolve, SSC remains steadfast in its mission to rise, lead, and thriveโ€”making waves not only in the Visayas but across the national stage!โœจ
