SSC Volleyball Girls Claim Championship at Inter High School/Province Meet 2025

Siquijor State College (SSC) proudly celebrated its Volleyball Girls Team after winning Champion at the Inter High School/Province Meet 2025 on November 3-21, 2025. The competition brought together top high school and college teams from across the province. The SSC players showcased determination, teamwork, and skill throughout the tournament. Their victory marks a proud moment for the college and the local community.

Representing SSC were Ma. Gabrielle Aquino, Nia Bantilan, Queen Christal Bonalos, Zhemeshka Adriene Cortes, Jane Rose De Guzman, Jazzen Claire Gador, Archelle Hitaas, Jazze Jabolin, Micah Althea Jumamil, Merlyn Lomongo, Harriete Angelique Morales, Marie Elizabeth Sangual, Destiny Cascia Uzarraga, and Bea Margaret Vicoy. Each player contributed to the team’s success with focus, discipline, and sportsmanship under the supervision and guidance of their Coach, Dr. Jesusito S. Alviola  and Assistant Coach, Mr. John Anthony Y. Jimenez.

With this achievement, SSC’s Volleyball Girls Team will represent the Negros Island Region Athletic Meet in February 2026. The event will be held in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental. The team is preparing for this next challenge with even more dedication. Their goal is to showcase their talent and bring pride to Siquijor State College. The college community is fully supporting them in their upcoming journey.

“My grateful appreciation to our SUC President II,  Dr. Steven J. Sumaylo for his support to our Volleyball team; to Dr. Josel B. Mansueto for her untiring  assistance in providing the sports equipment to be used during the games; to the training staff for their dedicated drills to prepare our athletes for the Inter High School  tournament, and of course, to the athletes themselves who keep going despite of the hard training for physical , mental, and emotional preparations in order to be triumphant to this competition, thank you everyone.” Dr. Alviola expressed his heartfelt gratitude for their triumph.

The entire college community joins in celebrating this milestone. SSC community looks forward to following the volleyball team’s performance at the Negros Island Region Meet and encouraged to cheer for the team as they compete on a bigger stage. SSC’s Volleyball Girls Team exemplifies pride, talent, and determination. Their journey is a true inspiration for future athletes of Siquijor State College.
