SSC Strengthens Commitment to Excellence Through Internal Quality Audit Completion

Siquijor State College key officials gathered on September 11-12, 2025, in the SSC Meeting Hall and Boardroom for the Closing Meeting of the Internal Quality Audit – Phase 1. The event highlighted the official presentation of audit findings.

SSC under the leadership of SUC President II, Dr. Steven J. Sumaylo successfully conducted the on-site Internal Quality Audit – Phase 1 from September 4 to 10, 2025, as part of its commitment to ensuring the effectiveness of institutional processes in line with policies, procedures, and applicable standards.

Dr. Roel D. Taroc, VP PRIME and Quality Management Representative (QMR) of the SSC Auditing Team, warmly expressed his appreciation for everyone’s presence and effort in his welcome message.

The presentation on audit findings were presented by the Lead Auditor, Mr. Jull Arcel C. Orlina with the presence of the other members of the Auditing Team – Dr. Renalyn B. Bantawig; Director of the Quality Assurance Office and Dean of the College of Arts; Dr. Josel B. Mansueto, Vice President for Administration and Finance; Dr. Mary Ann M. Temprosa, Vice-President for Academic Affairs; Mr. Kurt Belciña, Information Technology Officer I; Engr. Grace P. Dongon, Planning Officer III; Mrs. Barbara B. Gom-os, Quality Assurance Officer IV; and Mr. Kyle B. Samson, Records Officer III, and Mr. Francis Olsen C. Precioso, Internal Auditor.

With the support and guidance of Dr. Sumaylo, some members of the auditing team and other key officials shared and exchanged suggestions during the interactive session, through thorough discussion for the formal monitoring and assessment of processes, systems, and implementations to ensure the institution’s effectiveness, efficiency, accountability and transparency.

Through the presentation of the audit findings, the college can find its room for continuous improvement and excellence. SSC remains committed to strengthening its quality assurance systems, ensuring that its programs and services consistently uphold the highest standards in education and governance with the collective efforts of its officials, faculty, and staff.
