SSC Bridges Knowledge and Collaboration at ICTSBAF 2025

Siquijor State College (SSC) proudly participated in the International Conference on Technology, Social Science, Business, and Agriculture and Fisheries (ICTSBAF) 2025 held at PSU Golden Lion Hotel in Lingayen, Pangasinan on November 24-25, 2025 . The conference gathered educators, researchers, and industry professionals from around the world to share knowledge and innovations. The event focused on advancing research, promoting sustainable development, and fostering collaborations across multiple fields.


Representing SSC were Dr. Josel B. Mansueto; Vice President for Administration and Finance, Dr. Marjorie P. Eslit; CAS Assistant Dean, Dr. Mary Grace B. Lubguban; Senior High School Principal, Ms. Genie Magsayo, Assistant Professor III. With the strong support and guidance of Dr. Dawn Iris Calibo-Senit; Research Director and Mr. Jerome Ruiz, Science Research Analyst.

The SSC delegates presented the following research under the Social Science Track: “From Awareness to Action: Exploring Knowledge, Practices, and Attitudes Toward Single-Use Plastic in the Philippine State College” by Dr. Josel B. Mansueto. “Mathematical Aspirations of Junior High School Students: Interest and Motivation Toward Pursuing Mathematics” by Dr. Marjorie P. Eslit;  “Electoral Support for Women Politicians in Siquijor: A Study of Voting Behavior” by Dr. Mary Grace B. Lubguban; “Social Acceptance and Inclusion of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer Plus (LGBTQ+) Employees and Students in Siquijor State College” by Ms. Genie Magsayo. Each study highlighted practical solutions and insights to address local challenges in education, social inclusion, and environmental awareness.

During the conference, SSC delegates attended workshops, lectures, and panel discussions. They explored practical solutions to local and global challenges in technology, agriculture, business, and social sciences. The team actively participated in knowledge exchanges, sharing best practices and innovative research ideas. They also established connections with researchers, industry experts, and educational institutions. These collaborations are expected to support future research projects and community initiatives.

The SSC administration shows full support for the participation and insights gained from the conference. The event gave the college new ideas that can help improve programs, build stronger partnerships, and support community development. It also highlighted SSC’s expertise and commitment to working with global partners. The delegates’ active involvement reflected the college’s mission to promote education and research.
