Siquijor State College Participates in Public Orientation on Revised DBM-CHED Guidelines
Siquijor State College actively joined the Public Orientation and Consultation on the Revised and Enhanced Guidelines in line with DBM-CHED Joint Circular No. 3, Series of 2022 held at Quezon City on November 13-14, 2025. SSC was represented by Dr. Mary Ann A. Temprosa, Vice President for Academic Affairs, and Dr. Roel D. Taroc, Vice President for Planning, Research, Innovation, Management, and Extension (PRIME).
The event aimed to provide state universities and colleges clear guidance on faculty reclassification and updated compliance procedures. The orientation helped participants understand key changes and new requirements for faculty evaluation. It emphasized consistency and fairness in implementing the circular across all higher education institutions.
On the first day of the event, the Public Orientation on the Revised Guidelines and Instruments for Evaluating Faculty Teaching Effectiveness and the Client Satisfaction Survey of Extension Projects in State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) was successfully conducted. Meanwhile, the Public Consultation on the Enhanced Implementing Guidelines of DBM-CHED Joint Circular No. 3, Series of 2022 took place on the second day that provided participants with an opportunity to discuss, clarify, and provide input on the revised policies and procedures.
SSC’s participation in the orientation and consultation shows its dedication to meeting national standards as it moves toward universityhood under the leadership of the ever-dynamic SUC President II, Dr. Steven J. Sumaylo. The insights gained by its delegates will help SSC strengthen its policies, improve faculty development, and ensure compliance with updated guidelines which are important steps in building a stronger and more future-ready institution in the province of Siquijor.
