Quality in Focus: SSC Reps Dive Into AACCUP Outcomes-Based QA Workshop in Manila, Philippines

Siquijor State College (SSC) reinforces its strong commitment to continuous quality improvement through the active participation of its key officials in the AACCUP Seminar-Workshop on Outcomes-Based Quality Assurance (OBQA), held on July 9–11, 2025, at the Century Park Hotel, Malate, Manila.

The three-day intensive workshop gathered QA officers, new accreditors, and academic leaders from across the country to deepen institutional understanding and implementation of outcomes-based quality assurance systems. Key topics included Contextualizing Accreditation and Document Review, the OBQA and ACHIEVE Agenda, and Ethics and Professionalism in QA Practice—all designed to strengthen higher education institutions’ readiness to meet both national and global standards.

Representing Siquijor State College were Dr. Mary Ann M. Temprosa, Vice President for Academic Affairs; Dr. Renalyn B. Bantawig, CAS Dean and Director of the Quality Assurance Office; Dr. Dawn Iris Calibo-Senit, Director of Research; and Ms. Menie J. Dagala, Director of Publication and Information. Their active involvement in the workshop underscores SSC’s strong institutional commitment to elevating academic excellence and quality assurance practices.

With the continued support and visionary leadership of SUC President Dr. Steven J.
