First Month High: Highlights from SSCians’ Fresh Start

“Nasasabik sa unang araw ng eskwela. Taas kamay with confidence let’s do the first day high!” Nostalgic as it is! but the lyrics of the song of the band Kamikazee reminisce the warm and emotional upbeats of intense social interactions and experiences that students encounter when they first begin a new school year education program. 

It has been a month since Siquijor State College once again came alive with the start of classes. Busy schedules, new acquaintances, adjustment struggles, and big hopes—these are just some of the experiences SSCians have gone through in their first few weeks.

As students eagerly embrace a new academic journey, the upbeat and positive energy continues to flow as students eagerly all around the campus. Many SSCians have also shared their stories and reflections on their first month in college, highlighting both challenges and opportunities.

True to its culture of care, SSC believes that sometimes a simple ‘Kumusta ka?’ can already brighten someone’s day, because in SSC, every student’s well-being truly matters.
