Empowering Communities: SSC’s Ms. Palongpalong Takes Regional Leadership Role
Siquijor State College proudly congratulates Ms. Philna Palongpalong, esteemed Director of Extension Services, on her election as one of the inaugural officers of the Extension Managers’ Council – Negros Island Region, Inc. (EMC–NIR).
Ms. Palongpalong joins distinguished extension leaders from State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) and Local Universities and Colleges (LUCs) across Negros Island in this newly established organization. EMC–NIR is dedicated to advancing collaboration, fostering innovation, and enhancing the impact of community extension programs throughout the region.
The official oath-taking ceremony was held earlier today at the Carlos Hilado Memorial State University (CHMSU) – Talisay Main Campus, and was officiated by CHMSU President, Dr. Norberto Mangulabnan.
Ms. Palongpalong’s election is a clear reflection of the trust and respect she commands among her peers, and it underscores Siquijor State College’s expanding role in leading inclusive, sustainable, and transformative extension initiatives in the Negros Island Region.
This milestone is a source of great pride for the College as it continues to uphold its enduring commitment to service, empowerment, and academic leadership.
