Dr. Temprosa Strengthens SSC Presence at PALT 2025 Conference
Siquijor State College proudly highlighted its presence through the participation of Dr. Mary Ann M. Temprosa, Vice President for Academic Affairs as a Session Moderator and Paper Presenter in the 2025 PALT International Conference and the 65th Founding Anniversary of the Philippine Association for Language Teaching (PALT) held on November 27–29, 2025, at the University of Santo Tomas in Manila.

The event carried the theme “Upskilling and Upscaling: Moving Up with the 8Ms of Language Teaching”. It gathered educators, language specialists, and researchers from across the country and abroad. Participants explored the latest strategies and innovations in language instruction. The conference served as an important platform for professional growth and academic collaboration.
Dr. Temprosa represented the institution in various plenary and parallel sessions focused on the 8Ms framework. She engaged with experts and shared SSC’s ongoing initiatives in strengthening language teaching. Moreover, she successfully presented a prominent academic paper entitled “Evaluating Language Policy and Planning: A Translanguaging Perspective on School Leadership and Instructional Practices”.
Throughout the three-day event, presenters discussed new approaches that help teachers enhance classroom delivery and learner engagement. Sessions emphasized the role of continuous training in shaping competent language educators. These discussions encouraged institutions to adopt updated teaching models.
