Donning of Ranks Ceremony 2025: KALASAG Class Steps Forward
Siquijor State College proudly honored the spirit of leadership, duty, and integrity during the Donning of Ranks Ceremony 2025, held at the SSC Oval on September 5, 2025, with the theme: ‘Shielded by Integrity, Bound by Duty: The KALASAG Class of 2025 Steps Forward.’
The four-lane athletic oval was filled with proud parents and family, partners in service, faculty and staff to witness the momentous celebration for the KALASAG Class of 2026 Cadets highlighted by the cadets performing a ceremonial march for review, donning of ranks, and inspection and class pledge of leadership and service.
The inspiring keynote address of the ceremony was delivered by LTJG Benedict Angelo Gloriani PCG, Station Commander of Coast Guard Station Siquijor in which he emphasized the importance of discipline, honor, and integrity in the journey of becoming future law enforcers and public servants.
“As your SUC President, I stand with you—believing in your strength, your integrity, and your boundless potential. May this day inspire you to live fully by the creed of the KALASAG: to shield with honor, to serve with duty, and to step forward with courage.” This was one of the key points emphasized in the welcome message of SUC President II, Dr. Steven J. Sumaylo.
The ceremony stood as a powerful reminder that true leadership is not only worn with ranks but lived through service, compassion, and integrity bringing the pride of SSC and the hope of our nation.
