SSC LOCAL AND OVERSEAS JOB FAIR 2020

Siquijor State College conducted the Annual Local and Overseas Job Fair 2020 last February 28, 2020 as part of the Silver Celebration of the College to provide employment opportunities to job seekers. Companies will be able to interact and communicate potential applicants. This activity was in coordination with the Department of Labor and Employment, Siquijor PESO Managers and Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA).

Out of the 140 registered applicants, 50 qualified and 10 of them were Hired-on-the-Spot for local placement. There were six local agencies which participated the Jobs Fair namely, Qualfon Dumaguete, Cebu Mitsumi, JJ Dynamic Holding Inc., Inspiro Dumaguete, Prince Group of Companies and Pryce Gases Inc. Customers Service Representatives, Production Workers, Financial Analyst, Baggers, Cashiers, and many more are among the job vacancies for the local employment. Three overseas employers were looking for factory workers in Japan, skilled workers such as welders, mason, electrician, nurses and engineer for KSA and some parts of USA and UK. These three agencies are the East West Placement Center, EyeQuest International Manpower Services and FVJ Overseas Placement Inc. A total of 3,301 job vacancies for both local (1,801) and overseas (1,500) placement.  “This is very unique event most especially for us graduating students who will be soon workers in the world of work. We will be able to experience the feeling of being interviewed personally by the different companies,” a graduating BSBA student said.
